Lauren joined Hawthorne Strategy Group as its first Fellow in January 2017 and was brought on to the team full time in October 2017. She credits Hawthorne’s wide array of clients and diverse areas of expertise as its main attraction.
During her time at Hawthorne, Lauren has led and conducted media outreach, supported and executed communication strategies, and more. As Hawthorne’s social media guru, Lauren has developed social media plans and content for clients such as the Chicago Dental Society, analyzed the social metrics of global satellite company, OneWeb, to help distinguish itself from its competitors, and currently serves as the Interim Marketing Director for client, the Women’s Business Development Center.
Prior to joining Hawthorne, Lauren worked as an intern for Agency H5, formerly known as Henson Consulting, and served as an extern for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Ohio.
As a 2016 graduate of Miami University, Lauren obtained her B.A. in Journalism, Political Science and Latin American Studies. Lauren is completing Loyola University Chicago’s Global Strategic Communications master’s program and will cross the stage in December 2018.
During her free time, Lauren runs her lifestyle blog, Oliver’s Twist. She also loves spending time with her friends, dining at new restaurants, and taking advantage of all that Chicago has to offer.
