With vast experience in community outreach, external affairs, and media relations, Rachel develops strategies that achieve business goals for Hawthorne clients. Rachel is a collaborative, results-oriented professional who values client relationships and measurable results. Rachel has led successful campaigns for a diverse group of clients, including non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and workforce development and government entities. With this experience, she is well-versed in strategies for communicating with communities, internal audiences, and industry leaders.
Prior to Hawthorne, Rachel worked as an external communications specialist at Exelon Corporation where she advanced corporate initiatives and supported Exelon leadership through a major billion-dollar acquisition. Rachel also worked closely with the corporate relations team to drive volunteer efforts and promote Exelon’s charitable engagements through earned media.
Rachel graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in public relations and advertising and a minor in psychology.
When she is not working to solve challenges for her clients, Rachel is an avid supporter of the arts, attending live dance, theater, and comedy shows. Rachel sits on the Young Associates Board for Steppenwolf Theater Company.
